Winter Park Tech employs many technology and healthcare instructors. Here are the biographies for some of our highly qualified teachers!

Computer Instructors

Bennett, Ann
Ann Fishback Bennett has been teaching business and computer applications at Winter Park Tech since 1985.  She has a Master’s in Education and is certified by the State of Florida and Orange County Public Schools.  She specializes in Adobe software, writing her own lessons. She also teaches MS Excel 2007 and has authored a training manual for OCPS for that class. Ann is also a co-partner in Memories & Treasures, Inc. which restores old photographs.  She lives in Belle Isle, FL with her attorney husband and grandson.

DeNunzio, Kristine
Kristine DeNunzio has been teaching computer applications for over 15 years. She specializes in Apple (Macintosh) system software and applications. Her full time business as a self-employed computer consultant began over 20 years ago with digital publishing, and now concentrates on Macintosh training, setup and troubleshooting.

Dixon, Geraldine
Geri Dixon has been teaching computer applications for 25 years. She has a Master’s in Administration, specializes in Macintosh software and has co-authored a training manual for Southwestern Publishing (now Thompson Publishing).  She lives near Oviedo, FL.

Earley, Erica
Erica Earley holds a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education from Florida State University and is an accredited, certified teacher in the state of Florida.  She has a wide range of teaching experience including working for Orange County Public Schools teaching English and Reading at the middle and high school level as well as working with computers to teach effective reading strategies to struggling students. Currently she teaches Microsoft computer courses at the new Avalon campus.  Erica is married to a brilliant engineer and has a 2 year old daughter that is her full time job during the day.

Krawczyk, Hanne
Hanne Krawczyk has been teaching at Winter Park Tech for over 12 years. She specializes in PC computer applications, Windows Vista, Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop Elements, and QuickBooks. Hanne also taught Apple computer and still keeps up with all the graphic and publishing applications.  

Lyons, Stephanie
Stephanie Lyons has been teaching Computer technology courses at Winter Park Tech for more than ten years.  She has been a computer programmer for OCPS for 20 years.  She was a teacher at Columbia Elementary in 1989.  She specializes in beginners.  Her motto; “Everyone will leave better than they came in.” The only requirement in her classes is everyone must have fun!

Merlet, John
John Merlet has a Master's in Educational Leadership and Technology, certified by the State of Florida. He started teaching/mentoring in a high risk program in OCPS in 1988. It was aimed at keeping students in high school so they would graduate. He taught EH (Emotionally Handicapped) ESE students and then taught Math in middle school . At Winter Park High School, his alma mater, he teaches Digital Video Production and Math. He is certified in Business Ed, Industrial Arts, and Math. And he is married to his college sweet heart, also a WPT instructor. They live in Winter Park and are empty nesters now that their five children are out on their own.

Merlet, Lynn
Lynn Merlet has been teaching business and computer applications for over 25 years.  She has a Master’s in Education and Training Management and is certified to teach Business, Journalism and Accounting by the State of Florida.  She specializes in Photoshop and digital design and is a full time teacher in the Business department at Winter Park High School.  Lynn lives in Winter Park, FL with her husband and their dog.

Metzger, Melissa
Melissa Metzger has been teaching fine art, computer graphics and business applications for almost 8 years and is certified by the State of Florida. She also serves during the day as the Online Coordinator at Winter Park Tech. She specializes in Online Living courses and has been trained in Adobe Photoshop since 1995. She holds a Bachelor's in Art and a Master's in Education. She lives with her husband (a Chemistry teacher), their two children and their white German Shepherd in East Orlando.

Olmos, Veronica
Veronica received her B.S. in Technical Education and Industry Training from the University of Central Florida.  She has over 25 years experience in all aspects of the accounting field as well as extensive knowledge of various accounting softwares, including Quickbooks and Peachtree.  Currently she is a self employed bookkeeper with several long term clients.  This gives her the advantage to work from home and allows her to pursue her career goal of training and teaching, passing on her experiences to her students.

Tryzbiak, Jon
Jon Tryzbiak has been developing Web-based applications for over four years and most recently has been working on Central Florida News 13’s Website. He works full time for Brighthouse networks during the day and teaches webdesign at both Winter Park Tech and Avalon Tech in the evenings. He has Bachelor’s in English Literature and lives in Eustis, FL with his wife and twin daughters.

Heathcare Instructors

Clark, Camille
Camille  Clarke  has been a registered nurse  for over 12 years. She received her BSN  from Molloy College in New York. She has many  years experience in cardiac, medical-surgical and out patient surgery nursing as well as IV therapy and PICC certifications. She has also served in leadership, team building and managerial roles. She is currently employed as a rounding nurse  for an infectious  disease practice. When not working, Camille is the organizer for a singles social group.

Marshall-Parker, Penney
Penney Marshall-Parker has been part of Orange County Public School’s Career and Technical Education for the past nine years with a love for teaching healthy living. Currently, she is the Instructor of the Massage Therapy program at Winter Park Tech’s Avalon campus. Penney also teaches CPR, First Aid, and HIV/AIDS.  She is a Certified Leader of Tai Chi for Busy People and holds degrees in Natural Health and Holistic Theology.  She is currently the Training Center Coordinator for American Heart Association’s Winter Park Tech site.  Of all the school’s she has taught, she says she has found her “home” at Winter Park Tech.

O'Brien, Joan
Joan O’Brien has been an RN for over 51 years, and she's still going strong!  She taught at Orlando Tech for 20 years, the first 10 teaching LPN and then she founded the Home Health Aide Program, taught it for 10 years and moved to Winter Park Tech to start the HHA program. The program has produced over 3,500 HHA’s throughout the years.  In 1990 she introduced the CPET classes (Competency Performance Evaluation Test) which is actually not a test but an excellent review of all the basics of nursing, mandated for HHA’s but GREAT for CNA’s as well.  Joan has taught continuing education at WPT since 1996, including the CPET, Medication classes, CNA Review, Alzheimers, Medical Terminology and HIV / AIDS. When not at WPT, she is the school nurse at Lakemont Elementary, and the joy of her life remains her granddaughter, Brooke.

Rivera, Rayza
Rayza Rivera is a Florida registered nurse with two degrees from Valencia Community College, one in the Arts and another in Nursing. She began her nursing experience in behavioral healthcare and then moved to home health and critically ill pediatrics. Now as a mother, she enjoys spending time with her young child and working as an healthcare educator with Winter Park Tech.
