Can Orange and Seminole County teachers/staff members earn in-service points for taking classes?
Orange County teachers can easily earn in-service points by taking any Winter Park Tech computer class. Once you report to class, please inform your instructor that you are an OCPS teacher and your instructor will get the proper in-service forms completed. You will need to complete one participation record and return to the instructor who will then turn your form in for points (points can take up to a month to appear on your record). If you are a Seminole County teacher, we have had many teachers take a computer class for points by turning in your class syllabus and certificate to the appropriate SCPS employee. However, to confirm that you can earn points please contact the certification department at http://www.scps.k12.fl.us/staff_development/index.cfm
